BIOMASS 3MW BOILER PLANT FOR ONE OF THE LEADING WOODWORKING COMPANY IN LATVIA

SIA BYKO-LAT was established in 1993 as a subsidiary of Iceland based NORVIK Hf. With head office in Iceland company operates in 6 different European countries. In Latvia SIA BYKO-LAT operates two production plants and is fully connected with woodworking industry.

This is our second project for NORVIK Hf. Our first project was finished in 2015, 4.5MW woodchips/bark fired boiler plant in Parnu, Estonia. The client – AS LAESTI. And without any doubts this fact means that our equipment successfully passed the test of routine work and the client highly evaluated our equipment quality and reliability along with technological solutions.

Goal: To organize the supply of the hot water for the woodworking process and heating. “Turn-key” project (including civil construction). To complete all the requirements for the equipment SC KOMFORTS GROUP offered unit from the KAPAK series (upgraded version – N) with 3MW capacity. This version of moving grate furnace with integrated horizontal hot water boiler and multi-cyclone is not just compact, but high efficient solution. Apart from the main technological equipment scope of supply included full set of peripheral equipment, such as walking floors for fuel storage and fuel conveying system, ash cleaning system, fumes cleaning system, water piping, ducts, process automation etc.

Power: 3MW / 110 C t 6 bar, hot water for the technological process.

Fuel: shavings 100% / woodchips 100%, 10 - 55% moisture. Waste from the woodworking process.
