Funding for biomass projects in Poland - we help build the technical case
2026 is a peak year for energy transition financing in Poland. NFOŚiGW is directing the large majority of its budget to the energy transition, with dedicated programmes for district heating infrastructure, high-efficiency cogeneration and renewable heat sources, drawing on European funds, national resources and the Modernisation Fund. Alongside the grants, ARP offers investment loans from its own capital, including financing linked to the white certificate mechanism, where the certificates become an additional revenue stream. PARP supports SMEs modernising production and its energy supply.
For an investor replacing a coal- or gas-fired boiler house, this can mean a substantial share of the CAPEX covered - and a payback period that changes the investment decision entirely.
In our experience, applications rarely fail on the financial model. They fail on the technical annexes: efficiency figures that cannot be substantiated, a fuel balance that does not close, CO₂ savings calculated on optimistic assumptions, or a scope that cannot be delivered for the declared budget.
